My 66 F100 went home today. Back to the son of the original owner. He went to the dealership with his father when he was 6 years old to purchase this truck.
It was hard to hand over the keys, but I couldn’t think of a better home for it to go to. I was supposed to sell it BEFORE I bought the Lightning, not after, but it all worked out in the end. Goodbye old friend!

That is awesome.
When I sold my ‘72 F100 after 9 years, I sold it back to the guy I bought it from... for the same price.

That’s the best home possible for that truck - it’s gorgeous, and I’m sure it will be treasured by the new (old?) owner!

That’s adorable. Selling a car is so much easier if it’s going to someone who will love it as much as you did.

That must have been so hard to sell. At least it went back to its previous home.

I hope to do so with my dad’s old Ranger.
Exact same story.
I was 6 when we went to buy it new. He let me choose out his new truck. It stayed with us until last year, god bless it.
I know where it is and have every intention of buying it back this summer.

Thanks! I wish I had waited a couple years and made it big enough for 2 vehicles.

Yeah, he regretted ever selling it but had fallen on hard times.
